What stupidity? You got to witness history as it happened and were recording it with the technology then available (they could put a man on the Moon, but they couldn't produce a mass-market VCR :^)).
Less than half the people alive today were even born when Apollo 11 happened.
I guarantee there are plenty of people who would like to see those films you made. Which network did you record them from?
