Plame compromised her position when she married Wilson in 1997 and revealed her status to an ambassador with "clearance". At that moment she politicized her position and betrayed the CIA for her personal needs. She should have quit right then. Ambassadorial clearance is "decorative" clearance. Ambassadors are the highest risk double agents and are the most at risk for misusing classified information. (Heck the French ambassador to the UN, Jean-Bernard Merimee, has now been charged with taking oil allocations for Saddam and selling them)

In the CIA you don't blab. If you do, don't expect to work for the CIA anymore. Some how and in some way your employment will be terminated.

She deserved exactly what she got. I'm quite happy she was outed because it automatically lowered her potential to damage the US. She chose Wilson over the CIA.

You wont see me shed any tears for an agent who blabs to an ambassador with political motivations.

Plame was an a$$. Wilson is an a$$. They deserve eachother.
