If Plame died, that would be one thing. If she were still active in the field that would be another. If all that results is a game of political infighting, where Wilson used his wife's status and access to attack the Bush administration and so the Administration felt the need to out Plame--that's another.
With folks like Libby one takes into account the career accomplishments and divides by the infractions of law.
If you pocketed a half dozen books, would it be fair to sentence you with jail time?
If Libby spends six months in jail, that will be justice in my book.
It may seem like the big fish that commit crimes get off with less punishment, but they also pay for it in other ways.
Granted, we can't always see them.
