Your focus is too narrow. Valerie Plame was undercover involved in international transport and sale of nuclear weapons. We needed her insider information. She played a valuable role for us.

Outing her as an act of revenge, by an administration that lied to GET US INTO this war, is the distasteful act. The potential there to "damage the US" is far greater. We are now losing face internationally, and have been for quite awhile.

If this investigation is going to bring unwelcome and unbecoming facts to light about the lies of the top men in this administration, then you'll have do more than SPIN than get this to go away.
You'll have to perform some serious magic.

Personally, I think Fitzgerald has a helluva lot more info that goes in several different directions. He may be onto something bigger, which accounts for Bush's demeanor today in front of TV cameras. In truth, this may just be the tip of the iceburg.
