is not in itself a good argument against CP. We allow many things that result in innocent death because they provide some benefit. Commercial flights are one example.
Big difference IMO .. innocent deaths on commercial flights are accidents, not deliberate acts. In the case of capital punishment this obviously still has to be a major consideration, or else you end up trading justice for retribution.
