Gee whiz. I'm being forced into a conclusion.

No outrage when Cheney was working to prevent rules which would limit the US in it's ability to torture.

AND Bush was simultaneously saying "the US doesn't torture terrorist suspects". No outrage.

Now, those people who said Abu Ghraib were isolated instances had to be let down, and their leader lied in the most direct manner possible. No outrage.

Now, the Pentagon is paying to manipulate that which is reported as news, and justifying it as the "truth".

CBS did the same thing, and the neocons raised hell for days. No outrage.

Afgan prisoners are massacred, and the Pentagon stonewalls the investigation. One maroon even said it was nonsense, no sane person would believe that. And when it's demonstrated to be true, no outrage.

I'm being forced into the conclusion that our neocons are hypocrites of the purest variety, people with complete double standards, who can be lied to and lied to and lied to and still apparently believe the liars.

With no qualms. And no outrage.

Makes one wonder, doesn't it, at the malleability of those minds. Is it deliberate, are they so blinded by the dogma they truly believe simultaneous lies which are opposed to each other (torture), or are they deliberately ignorant because the truth would be so overwhelming?

Whatever it is, it's sad.
