You know Ed it never hurts to assume people don't look at the exact same data as you. That is... it won't hurt to post URLs.
Unless the two teams of Langley engineers were identical your argument is flawed. Or are you say only Langley engineers in all of NASA have the expertise to do good engineering?
Maybe you need to take those rose colored glasses off and look at the data within the larger set of data.
Like your recent worry that all Tsunami are cuased by impacts when very probably one in a million have been. There are simply more earthquakes than large impacts.
