I have heard that story before but I do not believe it. First of all, liquid iron can not be magnetic, if any ferromagnetic material is heated sufficiently it will lose its ability to display ferromagnetic effect. The only way a hot and conductive material can create a magnetic field is if it is conducting an electrical current through it, or if it is ionized and moving at high velocity.
I won't disagree with you that dynamo theory isn't always intuituve. However...
Liquid iron can be paramagnetic at high temperature. While it's immersed in the field from the electrical conduction occuring around and through it. This incredibly dynamic process whereby you have a (1)fluid, (2)magnetizable and (3)conductive material, flowing in response to the Earth's rotation is whats required for a dynamo in the outer core shell.
As for the rest, please excuse me if I reiterate that your reasoning doesn't reflect any physical logic. The VA belts are a well known phenomena at this point. You may as well be arguing that the Golden Gate bridge stays aloft due to aerodynamic forces.
Good luck on your journey, I hope you find what you need.
