Somebody has to make up their mind on this.

Techniques that carry out attacks against our enemies with little risk to our military personnel are going to create more collateral damage and civilian casualties.

The on-the-ground door-to-door actions that are necessary to analyze who is an enemy and who isn't will, of necessity, put our own forces in more danger, and add to the body count that Donald puts up here.

People have to grow up. There is no way to peel loose the al Qaeda members from their hideouts among civilians in a way that hurts no civilians, and at the same time hurts no Americans. Obviously, sending American ground troops openly into Pakistan is impossible. Yet Pakistan is where much of al Qaeda is hiding out.

I have asked for solutions from the crap-flingers, and have gotten nothing in return. A mature outlook would be to realize that whatever method gets the job done is going to result in some pain, and some death. In some cases, like Iraq, we can choose to go the personal combat route to save Iraqi civilians instead of just flattening villages into smoking gravel. In other cases, like Pakistan, it's aerial work or nothing.

I am seeing nothing on this board that changes my conviction that leftists should not be allowed anywhere near anything having to do with our security.
