If a U.S. citizen wishes to advocate a change or amendment to the way things are routinely done in this country, that is their/my/your right. Period.
No problem there. It would be the same if you offered constructive criticism to a friend. But if every single word you ever spoke to that person, year after year, was hostile criticism, and in every conflict you took the side of those opposing him, it would be hard to convince any observer that this person was really your friend.
Anti-American has an exact meaning. It means a person who will take the side of America's enemies and opponents in almost every single case, sometimes even reversing their own previous positions or ignoring their own supposed principles.
This is why you can see radical Leftists marching down streets with radical Islamists, side by side with people whose attitudes toward women, minorities, and human rights would send normal liberals running screaming into the night.
The problem here is that I'm looking at the forest, and you're looking at one or two trees. Blum has a long and colorful history, going far past this particular book, which is more than enough for me to draw my conclusions.
I got my information on his anti-CIA activies from easily-found online biographies. People wonder why I laughed my ass off when leftists started weeping and wailing about the blow to our national security when some evil person revealed the name of a CIA employee.
