Card is a mormon and mormons are creationists.
However. Mormon creationism differs from other creationism in a number of ways. First of all, mormons believe creation was not from nothing, but from materials already present. Organization is a better word than creation. Second, mormons aren't tied to the 6 days in the same way as other religions, in fact most mormons believe in 6 creative periods, but not days. Some mormons, myself included, don't consider the creation account as found in Genesis to be an accurate accounting of the creation, rather the cliff notes version as might be told in a story to people who don't have the scientific background to understand more.
Lastly, since mormonism does not contain doctrine which completely nullifies evolution or darwinism, many mormons consider it a perfectly rational way for creation to occur. So while I think its reasonable to call all mormons creationists, its not reasonable to assume they are automatically not darwinists or evolutionists as well. Some actually do walk that tightrope of Science and religion. From everything I've read from OSC, he is one that does.
