This is what makes me so sad. Hate and politics can make a percentage of the population gleeful when a 78 year old man is peppered with birdshot in a hunting accident.

This unfortunately is just another in the long decline of the political process which seeks any news that can be twisted for political gain.

It's just like Kerry bringing up Cheney's lesbian daughter.

I have yet to read one comment that goes something like, "Poor guy. Hope he recovers."

Instead, Tom's comment about folks hoping for this poor 78 year oldman's death is all too true. It's just like hoping for casualties in Iraq. Neorepublicans may be incompetent and imperialistic, but the Democratic party and its followers are assuming the sickly smile, persona and countenance of the undertaker who sees only profit in other's suffering.

That's the sort of thing that dehumanizes folks.

"We are having sooooooooooo much fun with this!"

The 'devil' Indeed.
