Don't expect this one to get a bunch of stories on Google

A 2001 report by the Office of the High Commissioner for Refugees and the Save the Children fund charged that U.N. personnel in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone used their positions to elicit sexual favors from children, primarily adolescent girls. The usual denials, regrets and promises of tighter procedures followed, but three years later, U.N. peacekeepers in the Congo were charged with similar misbehavior. The Office of Internal Oversight Services investigated and found sexual exploitation and abuse of local women and girls. It concluded the problem was "serious and ongoing. Equally disturbing was the lack of a protection and deterrence program."

So not only do the UN break the laws to fund dictators with hundreds of millions of dollars, misappropriate funds used for Peacekeeping, but now they also rape the women where they perform "peacekeeping" duties.

The left may have to revise their mantra from "UN is still the answer!" to "UN - Corrupt Dictator Loving, Child Rapists beloved by the Left"

C'mon let's here the defense of the UN from the usual suspects obsessed with George Bush!

And these are the folks you guys claim have all the answers!

Thank goodness for George Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Condoleezza Rice and the whole 'neoconservative' gang.
