Tom, cut the bullshit. The entire world supported us in Afganistan. Almost the entire world opposes us in Iraq. Yeah sure a few on the left would still bitch about Afganistan but the vast majority saw it as a justified campaign and still do. Any connection Iraq had to the war on terror was indirect and serendipitous to plans already made to take out Saddam BEFORE Bush/Chenney/Rumsfeld/Wolfowitz ever got back in power. You know it and so does everyone else.

And because they wanted to try their new small invasion force experiment they went in without enough force to impose law and order right from the get go. Because of this and other crucial blunders we are now seeing Iraq turn into a shithole. At least have the intellectual honesty to admit that Bush and Co. fucked up majorly in post war planning and in handling world opinion. To not do that makes you as biased as Bowser.

I'm holding out a little tiny bit of hope the situation can be saved, but in all likelihood Iraq will end up partitioned and our big experiment with democracy in the ME will have failed miserably. It could have been different had it been handled more thoughtfully.
