I get uncomfortable getting personal, although God knows I've written and erased some lethal rants against a few people here.

This article was just one example. There have been more blatant ones.

One example that comes to mind is the blurring of categories in discussions of military personnel wounded in Iraq. I have seen people seriously refer to 15,000 "mutilated" soldiers.
