""But overall, officials in Jordan say there are 250,000 Iraqis legally residing in the kingdom. Unofficial estimates put the number at 600,000, at least.""

"350,000 Iraqis illegally residing in Jordan is a pretty big clue, Tom. How many moved there after the war? And if the number of registered refugees in individual countries is measured in the hundreds, doesn't that add up to thousands? Egypt's a long way from Iraq, too--wanna bet the quantity of displaced Iraqis in each country is smoothly proportional to distance from Iraq?"

How many moved after the war? Well that's the question isn't? We millions of Iraqis in America. Which war are you referring to?

I would bet that more Iraqis have moved back to Iraq then have moved out of Iraq since 2003. But at the moment I would say that they probably are quite a few leaving. I don't think thousands are leaving Iraq though. More important is who is leaving and where in Iraq are leaving. No one fleeing northern Iraq- it's boom town in Kurd area. I think that's it's likely that of the Iraqis moving into Iraq a fairly high percentage could be moving out- particularly in Baghdag area. And high percentage of these people are more "liberal minded"- which if true wouldn't be good news.
But the important point is this article doesn't provide any useful information. Thousands leaving per what? Year? Month? Week? Day?
If they meant year then what does that mean? It's pretty insignificant.
