Yes, but you're also fair and sensible enough to recognize egotism and hypocrisy even when its coming from your side, and to call it to account. If there were a bit more of this attitude scattered throughout the political spectrum this country might not be as viciously divided as it is today, and we might all be able to talk instead of screaming at each other. Unfortunately, the voice of reason always seems to be drowned out by the shrill screed of demagoguery.
