I saw a car yesterday that had a sticker on the window- it originally read: "With God all things are possible"
The first 'L' in 'all' had worn off to the point that it looked like a period- So, to my eyes it read as "With God A.I things are possible"
The fact is that we ARE "gods"- 300 years ago the ability to travel to any point on the globe in a day would be considered 'godlike'- I can pick up a phone in HAWAII and call relatives in Maine- You are reading this on a device that does more calculations in a minute than you will do in your entire life- a few seconds after I post this, someone on the opposite side of the Earth can read it.
What will we be in 30 years? We already do 'god-like' things every day- give me 5 minutes and I can look up anything from the history of ancient Greece to the technical details of the space shuttle- I am almost 35 years old, the world has changed many times in my life- we adapt well- until recently you could expect to live a life without change... maybe you would not leave your homeland as long as you lived... I was born in Oklahoma, lived in Texas, New York and California and Hawaii, and worked in France- I expect to go to chile soon and maybe russia...
So where does it end? When will we reach a point where we can't keep up with the exponetially growing change? I think humanity, for the most part, will keep up with the change- but being 'human' will be vastly different in 30 years
