Lindy, before the war, the Islamic terrorists tore down part of Manhattan and Washington. And that wasn't their first attack. What was their excuse then?
I've tried many times to explain that no, we weren't beloved by the Islamic radicals before Iraq, and no, we would not be in your fantasy of peace and withering away of terrorism if we were only killing al Qaeda wholesale in Afghanistan. But it's like trying to shoot a ping-pong ball through El Capitan.
