Reading your post reminded me of a poster I saw plastered all over La Jolla around 1986. One morning I woke up to find that some group had gone crazy and plastered the poster on everything they could find to plaster it on. It was a pen & ink drawing of Reagan as evil, sick and as old as they could make him look. With one glance you knew who was mentally imabalanced - the artist. He had put every ounce of his endless hate and loathing into the art and acted as a channel for the lowest forces. The art didn't capture Reagan - but it was a striking capturing of leftist insanity.

The vandalism of posting them all over public property, lamp poles, electric boxes, street lamps, and street signs illustrated that not only the artist was mentally imbalanced, but the anti-Reagan hate-mongers who vandalized literally everything in sight were also very sick individuals who saw in Reagan someone they could despise with an insane, pathological intensity.

Nothing was (and apparently is) quite as raving insane as a Reagan hating leftist.

They never realized that the hate & evil was within THEM not Reagan. Just as the Bush-haters don't see that they are mentally disturbed individuals either.

Thanks for the unintentional trip down memory lane.
