Nicely said, and all the more reason why we need to rise above this tiny,
mindless thing that only wants to make copies of itself at nearly any cost.

I recall a one-shot comic panel (I think by Gary Larson) depicting stereotypical
cavemen attacking and being attacked by a wooly mammoth during a hunt.

One cavemen says to another (they are apparently the big Alpha Males) "Stupid
Beta Males - they are stuck back in the cave with the women while we get to
hunt!"
