Everyone subscribes to at least one wacko conspiracy theory for which there is not a shred of solid proof, but because it fits our prejudices so perfectly we refuse to let it go completely. Mine is that Nixon Attorney General John Mitchell deliberately allowed and encouraged the nationwide distribution of powerful new prescription depressants and stimulants because he knew a lot of hippies would get hooked on them and it would torpedo the counter-culture.

But some folks can't stop at just one or two.They believe EVERYTHING.
