re: No Joy

I do remember watching and listening to the TV when the Apollo 11 went behind the moon for the first orbit, it was Neil Armstrong who made comments about the color changes of the moon surface, such as gray, light gray, and so on, these comments are at the:link that you posted, but the comment that I remember from watching the TV show where he says: "It looks like a pine forest down there", is not on those recordings.
You can find this "comment" transmission under the Apollo 11, Day 5, Get 76:21 to 77:04 Lunar rev. 1. At about the 6:25 Current track number on that link.

There is another event that I remember from watching that TV coverage. It is the point where the LEM had landed and mission control seemed to wonder what was taking so long before they opened the hatch, the conversation then turned to the pressure that was inside the craft, in my memory, they talked about the pressure as being around 4 lb., per square inch when they opened the hatch, but in the recording it is clear that they talk about the 4 pound pressure earlier, but it is not the final pressure that they achieved before opening the hatch.
The final pressure was .12 psi.
That reference you can find at Day 5, EVA prep., at about current track number 5.10.
There was no more mention of the pressure, so weather it went up or down after they opened the hatch is something that I do not know.
Mission control did say that it was steady before the hatch was opened, so I assume that it remained at that pressure after the hatch was opened. If that is the case, then the moon's atmospheric pressure was .12 psi.
