130 is plenty fast enough for US highway driving. In a convertible it is fast enough to start tearing one's hair out by the roots and create an interior vacuum that will suck every tiny mote of dust out of your carpets and in your eyes.
Avoiding paying $3.20 per gallon for premium unleaded is a bonus. And the name TESLA...does it get any cooler than that?
With the optional solar panels, they are talking about energy plus operation, which means 250 mile range might be increased a hundred-fold or perhaps forever if one's driving in California or Arizona.
Out where you are, the solar panels probably wouldn't do much good.
;-)
I'm rooting for their success and diversification into larger designs.
