After years of anti-US posts, I felt it was long overdue to chime in on Belgian foibles. Raoul han incessantly declared the US invasion of Iraq illegal while his own nation was up to its eyeball in corrupt relations with Saddam.
I've nothing to apologize for. Folks with Raoul's worldview are what keep the Saddams (or Leopold IIs of the world) in power. If he believes Americans should be ashamed to fly their flag while believing Saddam should have been left in power - well, I can't help but realize that, by my standards, is a seriously dysfunctional worldview.
Multiply Raoul X 100 million euros with similar viewpoints and you see why the Middle East and Africa are in the states they are - which are still Eur-exploited states.
Go to Europe and see the North Africans used as a slave class by Belgians, french and Germans and its a wake up call. The Europeans don't like the US in Iraq or the Middle East because this is both their marketplace and the source of their slave labor.
One time I was washing my cars and someone walked past and said "Don't knock yourself out. That's what Mexicans are for." I'm a very calm person but that garnered an unusual colorful return comment. Yet everytime I visit Europe the same mentality prevails and it's nauseating. Algerians, Turks and Romanians are used in Europe the way African slaves were used in the US and the way some folks use Mexicans now in the US.
Euros loved Saddam - he was a cash-paying customer for their services. The things most euros now dislike is that Saddam's displacement means a loss of income. Yes, tyrants have been very good to euro-business. The media all over the EU parrots this viewpoint and tries to constantly legitamize Saddam (their former business partner) and dis the US.
Such selfishness is par for the course in Europe where folks are too self-involved to have kids. That's why they need their slave labor class to be exported from 3rd world countries and make such a big deal about allowing immigrants (and yet denying citizenship!) - because they have no kids to do menial or low income jobs.
Selfishness - thy name is Europe!
