At the time, I thought this Surveyor rendezvous was the coolest thing ever. Look at that landing precision, to get that close!

I wonder if we're going to see a shot like this of the Viking lander someday.

I worked up an idea for a cable car arrangement once to allow tourism of lunar landing sites: tall towers a few miles away, and a network of cables moving tour cars about fifty feet over the sites so as not to disturb anything on the ground. Similar in concept to sports Skycams.
