Conrad and Bean secretly took along a shutter release timer for the camera and planned to put the camera on a tripod so they could get a picture of both of them together standing by the surveyor as a joke on the NASA film annalist, who, they figured, would wonder who took the picture since they were both in it. But alas they lost the timer and couldn’t take the picture. I forget whose book I read that in.
