All businessman are depicted as heros.

Because Hollywood want to rape the public of its money and like to pat themselves on the back at the same time. Even Wall Street, the archetypal "anti-capitalist" film glorifies the lifestyle of the capitalists. Limos, Penthouses, Beach homes, fancy restaurants, girls eager to strip for you, etcetera.

That he was a slimy capitalist crook is just a plot-device used to take the rewards away from the 'good guy'. More kids left that movie wanting to be stockbrokers and capitalists than become law abiding SEC agents looking for crooks, I'll tell ya that much!

Films are capitalist propaganda. Period. They advertise unnecessary products, promote materialistic lifestyles and glamorize the rich. All businessmen are idealized and the rich are used as role models to aspire to. Rich is good and poor is bad. Sure they may show some bad rich guys but the 'good guy' gets rich in the end, thus achieving the whole propaganda victory of film, which is glorify materialistic pursuits and subsequently glorify capitalism and making a clever buck.

Trading places is another example of the "phony" bad rich guy film. In the end the rich are glorified and capitalism is glorified and made the zenith of individual achievement. Make a buck!

How stupid do you think the new left is?

No heroic businessman in films? What a farce!
