And start doing PROFILING, just like the FBI does.
Forget seven year olds and old ladies, let's concentrate on muslims and arabs between the ages of 15 and 40.
Period.
If we'd spend more time checking THEM out, instead of having airport security check American citizens out, they could save us all a lot of time, money and major inconvenience.
Right after 9/11, I flew five times in two years and got ran through "special security" four of those five times to have my luggage gone through and be specially wanded. I was beginning to wonder what was up. I notice mostly "women" being challenged, while black 300 lb. line backers got through nicely, thank you. And muslim men and their families......whoosh! Wisked right through.
(On one line of specially chosen women, I turned to the lady next to me, the one with the purple dress and red hat on who said it was the second time for her in a row, too. She had on brightly colored wooden earrings, and I figured those must have given her away, so I mentioned it to her. We laughed.)
I can just see the conversations between baggage and security officials over coffee in the morning. "Hey Frank, quit sending me over those big guys with attitudes. They're stressing me out. And forget the arabs, I have trouble entering their names in my computer. And all their kids. Go easy on me today, eh?"
