To read the accounts in some of the more anti-Israeli publications

you would have thought that the Israelis just woke up one day and decided it would be a neat idea to start bombing Lebanese civilians. And that Hezbollah was a hearty band of resistance fighters courageously defending the Lebanese people from the aggressive Israelis. What complete, utter, ignorant nonsense. And a shocking number of otherwise intelligent, rational human beings, especially in Europe, simply refuse to understand two important and obvious facts:

1) the Israelis have no problem at all with the Lebanese people living and enjoying their lives to the fullest, on their side of the internationally recognized border, as long as they leave the Israelis alone.

2) Hezbollah is committed to the complete destruction of Israel.

Why is it so hard for so many people to see this crucial distinction, and to understand it as the root cause of the conflict??

And what other country in the world would have sat passively and done nothing to defend themselves from repeated terrorists attacks??

For those who don't or won't understand the true, evil nature of Hezbollah, this may help:

Hizbollah terrorist attacks since 2000
