For the Native American, as I see it . . .
Generally, English is spoken with pride, as would any other language spoken by our aboriginal neighbors and relatives. It was a language forced upon the many nations, but one which is spoken with pride in proper pronunciation. The tone is crisp and clear, sounding each phonic syllable and letter as perfectly as possible.
The pride is as old as the hills, but the pride in language stems from the demand that they learn it, and they did so, knowing they could speak it better than any other American, and they do.
