That's a myth to some degree. Dolphins have been known to take people
OUT to sea rather than rescue them. They have also been known to
ostracize their own members and males often conduct what we would
consider to be gang rape on females.
I know, it is often hard to determine what is good or bad with another
type of mind. I just think we need to see both sides of these creatures
in the same light, otherwise they end up being practically deified. If
anything, they show that being intelligent doesn't automatically make
one a saint - at least humans aren't alone in this area. Then again,
maybe only intelligent Earth life is like this.
Nah, something tells me biology evolves pretty much the same everywhere.
Living organic beings need resources to live and it is doubtful that any of
them will grow up in a world alone, thus competition. It creates aggressiveness
and territoriality, but without challenges intelligence can't develop at all.
