no molten core, no magnetic field, no protection from radiation... except maybe water...

how intelligent could squid get? maybe they'd end up breaking into the atmosphere for their weapons systems, or just to see what was out there, or to get around quicker...or just for the hell of it...

Oh well, Capt. Kirk couldn't mate with any of them...uglier than a dinosaur...
and what would they do for television?
