"He is not this evil lying SOB you guys have convinced yourself he is."
REB, that's laughable just because your entire pretext is that our bashing of the President is entirely based upon unprovable points and then you turn around and state something blatantly that is so obviously your own feeling about the man.
My contention is that there is solid, demonstrable evidence that the man knowingly lied about the events leading up to the invasion of Iraq. That evidence can't been proven in any legal system certainly with the protections of privacy given to the executive branch but the amount and strength of it is overwhelming. Numerous people that have been insiders in the administration and since resigned or were forced to leave have all told exactly the same tale. The unprecidented number of them, many of them extremely well-respected in matters of foreign policy before being bashed by the thugs in the White House, have been incredibly consistent in their portrayal of the man and the cartel he's surrounded himself with.
The only ones countering that evidence are insiders that are under the umbrella of suspicion themselves. As far as evidence of Bush's intellectual accumen, there are hundreds of examples of grammatical and social gaffes normally only performed by guests on the Jerry Springer Show. This man has earned the bashing pure and simple just as every other misguided, evil, or incompetent public being has throughout history and your putting a simplistic label on it will not make it go away.
Are you in some way insinuating that a politician, who in this country is a servant to the people, is in some way immune from being criticized about the job he's doing or the morality he shows in his actions? That's the most un-American thing one can do. I can tell you that every one of the people you call Bush-bashers are complaining about the man honestly from the evidence they see daily. I have never engaged in conversation with someone critical of Bush and had them say to me "Let's make up this lie or distortion about Bush and spread it around." as
I firmly believe leaders in your party do every day. Instead these people are honestly aghast at what they see is a betrayal to basic American values.
You should be horribly ashamed of yourself for insinuating that there's something wrong with voicing an opinion about a highly controversial public figure. If you're uncomfortable with Bush bashing, I'd suggest you lock yourself away, turn off your tv and computer and become a hermit for the remainder of his term. It's going to get far, far worse.
