For fun, examine the pillars of conservatism: ascribed status; religious conformity; aristocratic privilege and absolute rule. Locke said, "Men are born free and equal in respect to their rights. Civil distinctions, therefore, can be founded only on public utility." This flies in the face of all of the pillars of conservatism as presented on these boards, ie, Republican rightwing Bushism/Pat Robertsonism/Moral Majorityism.
So, become a liberal and regain your right to individuality. Truth is, you are currently a liberal. But, best defined as a classical liberal. Whereas, I am more of a reform or welfare liberal. Come on, jump in the pool---the water is fine.
