I used to be a Pacifist, and deep down maybe I still am. It has always been my dream to see the human race work together to explore and settle space. Imagine if all the time and resources mankind put into war was instead put into space exploration and settlement. Stuff like terraforming Mars might be possible. Instead of fighting over this old world, with its limited room and resources, we could be building new worlds. We could be growing and expanding off this Earth.

I thought we were there. The Cold War had ended. The Berlin wall had fallen. The future was looking good. Then 9/11 had to happen. Why did those damned terrorist have to throw a monkey wrench into everything?

Maybe we the Middle East becomes a peaceful part of the Free World, they can join us in space exploration and settlement. Maybe they’ll see Anousheh Ansari as a shining example?

Anyway, that was my dream.
