I considered an appreciative reply pointing out how you're expressing the virtues of Classic Conservatism, but decided not to at first, on the theory that it'd come across as simply smarmy, coming from nowhere. But now SDAI-Tech1 has posted a reply that expresses the authoritarian conservative point of view, and the stark contrast makes my point more than simple ass-kissing. I see a distinct difference between the traditional Conservative attitudes you expressed, and the rhetoric of the "Neos" today. I get nostalgic for that old-time Conservativism; it's human nature that you don't appreciate what you've got till it's gone.
