That's a good point but

I believe that the apparent lack of a clear state - corporate connection in Islamo-fascism is simply due to the severly underdeveloped economic structures in Islamic countries, even in a relatively rich state like Saudia Arabia. There's so backwards in this arena they haven't yet accepted and incorporated the basic concepts of the time value of money, and risk premiums, and the logical economic requirement for interest...

It's an interesting (no pun intended) observation however that OBL began his career not as a cleric, nor a warrior, but as a businessman. However primitive Islamic economies and financial institutions may be at what we would understand as the "corporate level", the Islamofascists clearly understand the advantage of making friends with rich Muslims and using money wisely at local levels to finance their operations. For instance Al Queda is apparently enjoying some degree of success in incenting poor Afghans and Pakistanis by basically bribing them with lavish payoffs. Why the most powerful nation on earth and the hugest economy ever known can't outbid Al Queda (regrading Afghan soldiers' salaries for instance) is another big question for people to ask the woefully incompetent Bush Administration.
