The information page I linked to is not DefenseLink's main page, just one of many links on it. Don't confuse the two.

There are a number of DoD web sites I use for information, including CENTCOM, the MNF site, sites for individual services, and others. Some are very slow. Not sure why.

Other useful links include the quarterly reports on Iraq, and the Non-Proliferation site,

I realize this is very new territory for people attached to the Washington Post and New York Times like a lamprey on a carp's ass, but take some time to look around a bit.
