Yeah, "good for him." Think of how effective he could be if he just disbanded Congress.
I've seen a lot of writings from pundits and government types who are, well, wistful that Obama can't simply wave his hand and what he wills becomes so. I've posted some of these, like the pieces from Thomas Friedman admiring China.
I do not consider this a positive trend in ideas about government and the people.
Does anyone still remember how the slightest aggregation of executive authority by the Bush Administration brought wailing and rending of garments about the end of the Constitution and our freedoms?
