Doug, let's cut to the core here: I don't think much of Blackwell's science. The phase conditions for water don't change, as 2+2 contuines to equal 4, and not 5. Any science which has water perfoming in ways which it is not capable of performing, particularly when that "science" is carrried on for years, even when it is repeatedly pointed out that it contradicts the laws of physics, is not science, but a swindle perpetuated on the gulible. Why some people want so hard to believe Mars is Earthlike, or tha Mars was Earthlike, is simply beyond me. I've been looking at that question hard for the last several years, as I myself carried that belief wihtout examination for many years.

While I greatly enjoy the amateur efforts, you saw the difference between professional imagery processing and amateur processing with the Soviet Venus images. Where the amateurs played a great role was by indicating what might be done. But the real shame here is that after spending large amounts obtaining data, NASA spends too little to work with it - viz Apollo 11. Of course , this leaves an opportunity for amateurs like yourself.
