Introducing rabbits to Australia. Mongooses to Hawaii. Must be a lot like this if I put my mind to it.

What's your point?

Gathering wood for burning, further and further away from ancient Mexico City, without any forestry planning, till the wood was so far away that the city was no longer viable.
