Here's a thought

Why don't give up on the idea of telling me what I think. I don't think you have any particular talent in this regard.

I don't know where you got this idea that humans have some kind of magical protection.

And I don't know what you have in mind in regards your idea of a disaster.
Let me try some examples of what could fit what you mean by a disaster. Is a flood, earthquake, or volcanic eruption what you have in mind? Or such things as when the Chinese economic system leads to the starvation of tens of millions of people more what you have in mind. Or things like The Plague- like what happen early in 20th Century or the type that occurred centuries earier. Perhaps, a full scale nuclear war is more of what you mean or the freak impact event that could kill millions, or more unlikely, billions of people. Similarly, an eruption of the super volcanco at Yellow Stone- or somewhere else in which we are unaware of at the moment.
Or do you mean simply that we could repeat something similar to what just happenned during the 20th Century, e.g., the Great Depression, Dust bowl, WWI, WWII, and getting to the brink of nuclear war during JFK's term in office, etc.

OR do you share something similar to Gore's view that the world will end within 10 years- unless he is elected.

OR is it the disaster which is occuring and has been occuring in such place as Sudan [lately] and the rest of Africa? Or Latin America where we no shortage of dickheads, trying to empty their land of pesty humans in order to get to "somewhere" so that some imagined policies could work.
