I have known two PhD's in physics that believed in a 6000 year old Earth- it is very hard to understand... its as if they can apply scientific reasoning to their area of specialization, but turn off that ability when it comes to the facts concerning the age of the earth... It must lead to a very conflicted mind...
For instance, how can we see the galactic center when it is ~26,000 light years away? If the univers is 6000 years old, you have to assume god is intentionally tricking us... To say nothing of the galaxies we see at billions of lightyears- Radioactive dating also shows us that the world is billions of years old... as do countless other bits of empirical science...
The magnetism claim above is garbage and dismisses other data- such as the known periodic flips in the magnetic field... If he is not deliberately lying then he must be insane to make that claim...
Off Topic » in reply to Ph.D. in physics, so he really should know something about magnetism
I have seen it before...
