They have apparently decided to pull the plug on their "everyone welcome" board before taking the board down, which is procedurally sloppy, but understandable. I read through a couple of borderline vituperative threads on the "Free for all" board. Subsequent posts there have made it plain that the dozen or so members have voted to close themselves to public input.

I'm not on strike or anything. I'm going nuts here. Daughter #3 is splitting up with her roommate -- amicable -- because the girl she shares an apartment with has become afraid of city life and wants to move to the suburbs. My daughter, already having a home in the suburbs, wants to stay in the city. Be glad your daughter is in a residential school for the sake of your free time. Yet, I'm glad she's learning to keep house for herself.

It takes a lot of time to generate one good post (as you know), and I'm ashamed of myself for not replying to you over on Flame. You asked for a list, and I need to generate that, if only to show I can, though I know it won't change your mind. It took all the time I had to read the mail law before replying to that. And holy cow, didn't that put me to sleep!

BTW, the ACLU has asked for clarification and a statement of intent re: the signing statement. I'm pleased. Somebody must ask the question in order to make all this clear, and the ACLU is a good group to do that.
