OK, now I've seen it.
Gobsmacking...
The best comet I have ever seen in my lifetime. Glorious naked-eye visibility from about 40 minutes after sunset for at least an hour, with a tail streaming up into the sky over 15 or 20 degrees or arc, at least. I watched it with my teenage son and warned him that he might never see another as good in his whole life.
I took a few snapshots, and there is a blurry streak in them. Not bad for the wrong camera, handheld...
Tomorrow night, I'm dragging my parents out to see it.
