There was a link to the local CBS affiliate's site, with a video clip profiling the local activities.
The thing that struck a jarring note for me is the tone-deafness of the term "Department of Peace", as well as the international organization's name: "Global Alliance for Ministries and Departments of Peace". Has nobody in that group ever read George Orwell? The name "Department of Defense" is already a bit Orwellian, but "Ministry of Peace" comes right out of "1984".
I think they need to reconsider that name.
