Be careful flirting with Linux
I really, really like the idea of Linux. At one point I downloaded a version which would start from a CD, completely independently of my hard drive.
I don't know if it was because MS got jealous, or whatever, but it took out the operating system on my hard drive, I had to reformat it and start over. Lost everything.
I look from time to time, looked at Ubuntu, and have a spare, unused HD in my machine. Just haven't had the energy to deal with any possible catastrophe.
I do envy et. Apparently he's made Linux work just fine.
