I know that when I buy a steak, someone killed a cow or bull for it and that I am paying money to perpetuate the business- but when I walk into someone's home and see deer heads on the wall it disgusts me. What disgusts me is the idea of getting pleasure from killing- I have killed a few animals (bugs dont count) it is an ugly process.
I mainly killed animals that were a threat, or a problem, to myself or family. I shot many venomous snakes, a skunk, one goose spawned by the devil, and snapping turtles in our pond- none of the creatues I shot were placed on the wall... I did not kill for sport or fun. The other victims were accidents- mostly by car...
To go out, and enjoy, using a rifle or bow to kill an unarmed deer is barbaric- if you need the meat then its just an act of nature, but to kill just for the 'sport' and fun is sick. Everyone here knows that I think PETA is a bunch of loons- but everyone ALSO knows that it takes a certain type of psychopath to derive pleasure from killing animals.
Killing should never be done for fun, only out of need
