More on "canned hunts"

From the Humane Society

I remember the episode of "King of the Hill" where Hank takes his son Bobby deer hunting as a rite of passage, but is unable to get a license for hunting in the wild. In desperation, he takes him to a place where captive deer wander up to feeding stations to be shot. Bobby is about to take his shot of the placid deer, when he looks up and says, "this ain't right, is it Dad?"

"No, son, it isn't," says Hank. They leave, disgusted.

At some point, there's a line in the sand. Stocking streams with fish is not considered a problem. Shooting a fenced zebra should be. If there are surplus zebras, or anything else, from breeding programs or whatever, kill them humanely in a shed and sell the meat if there's no other way to deal with it. Don't pretend it's "hunting."
